Recipe: The Sandows Negroni

Recipe: The Sandows Negroni

Hugh loves a Negroni. This bittersweet, ruby red apéritif whets your appetite and warms you up to for the night ahead. Invented in 1919 when Count Camilo Negroni demanded a stiffer version of the Americano cocktail, the Negroni is traditionally a mix of Campari, sweet vermouth and gin. In celebration of its 100 year birthday here’s Hugh’s take on this unbeatable apéritif!

What you’ll need:

25ml Campari

25ml Good Gin (we recommend Sipsmith)

25ml Martini Rosso

Sandows Cold Brew Coffee

The recipe:

Fill a small glass with ice.

Add 25ml of Gin.

Pour in 25ml of Campari.

Add 25ml of sweet vermouth, we recommend Martini Rosso

Pour in a splash of Sandows Cold Brew Coffee and stir.

Add a twist of orange zest and enjoy!
